Announcing the New StackSocial & Our Partnership with Cult of Mac

Buenos Dias. It’s a big day! (seems like i’m always breaking out the Spanish on big days…)

Since our initial Mac Essentials Bundle this past summer, we’ve been working hard to bring you something special.  We considered continuing down the path of what others are doing (more big mac bundles), but we’re tired of that and we’re guessing you are too.

That’s why I’m happy to announce the NEW StackSocial site.  The new StackSocial will continue to help you build a stellar mac software stack, but in a whole new way.  Instead of offering large, indiscriminate app bundles, we’re bringing you targeted, high quality Mac App offers one at a time.

In terms of discoverability, yeah, we agree that the Mac App Store is awesome…but its success is starting to make it so overcrowded that you can sort the “good” from the “best” apps anymore!  That’s what we’re here for.  We want to be your mac software curation tool.  We’ll sift through the good and the bad and we’ll talk to the up-and-comers and partner with them to hook you up.

We chose Sparrow as our first deal because we love its minimalist design, its ease of use, and overall productivity boost.  Dom and his team at Sparrow have built a rock-solid Mac App and we’re stoked to offer it here at 40% for a limited time.

The other big announcement that we’d like to make is our partnership with Cult of Mac.  CultofMac.com is one of the most popular online sources for Apple news reaching nearly 1 million monthly unique visitors.  They are comprised of an international team of Apple experts, who have also written for Wired, The New York Times, BBC, and Macworld.

Starting today, we’ll be powering Mac Offers on Cult of Mac at deals.cultofmac.com. Teaming up with Cult of Mac allows us to leverage their expertise being on the cutting-edge of all things Mac…and hence provide you the some neat stuff.

We’re excited about the new StackSocial and our new White-label platform for publishers.  For the short term, we’re going to continue to focus on providing you with awesome Mac Apps at great price.  In the future, you can expect to see other cool deals here as well.  Feel free to ping us and tell us what kind of stuff you’d like to see on StackSocial.

Cheers,
Josh & Eugene
