Apple’s Biggest Event in Years: Here Are All of the New Products

Apple iPhone 6

iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus

Apple’s flagship phone will, for the first time, come in two different screen size options, with the iPhone 6 coming in at 4.7 inches and the Plus coming in at 5.5 inches. Both phones feature rounded edges, Retina HD screens, powerful new cameras and upgraded processors and graphics…plus the forthcoming iOS 8.

On-contract pricing starts at $199 (16GB) for the iPhone 6 and $299 for the iPhone 6 Plus. In addition, the new size tiers for the iPhone 6 are 16GB, 64GB and 128GB, confirming previous rumors that Apple would be scrapping the 32GB version.

iOS 8

iOS 8

There wasn’t too much in the way of revealed secrets for iOS 8, but it’s already been in beta for awhile now, so that’s to be expected. Still, we’d be remiss if we didn’t mention it here. iOS 8 brings even more connectivity between all of your Apple devices, including the ability to start writing a message on one device and continue it seamlessly on another. Other great new features include Health and iCloud Drive.

The big news for iOS 8 today is that it will be available for download on September 17.

Apple Watch

Apple Watch

Honestly, the Apple Watch reveal was so impressive that I almost forgot that the iPhone 6 was even mentioned. Tim Cook and co. presented Apple’s newest product (which comes in three collections: Apple Watch, Apple Watch Sport and Apple Watch Edition) and its integrations with other Apple products and apps – Siri, Apple Maps, iMessage, Apple Pay, etc. – as well as WatchKit, the developer toolkit for creating Apple Watch apps.

Apple Watch will be released early next year with a starting price tag of $349.

Apple Pay

Apple Pay

Powered by NFC and Touch ID, Apple Pay puts the burgeoning mobile payment landscape on notice. Launching in October, Apple Pay allows you to store and use your credit cards at both physical and digital retailers to make quick, easy purchases. It even includes functionality that prevents you from having to cancel your credit cards if your phone is stolen. This is truly a game-changer.

Apple_Health_App

Health and Fitness Functionality

Apple is putting your health front and center with a whole host of new tech for both iPhone and Apple Watch. Functionality includes health monitoring, workout tracking, nutrition logging and more, with Apple Watch getting two dedicated health apps (Fitness and Workout) to help keep you healthy and active.
